Don Battah

Don is a devoted husband and father. Married to Lynda (together over 33 years) and have three beautiful children Michael (Structural Engineer), Elora (Artist with an interest in the law), and Toby (dreaming of football and cricket, loves learning Te Reo and Accounting).

A dedicated professional with excellent interpersonal qualities, communications skills, creative ideas, and leadership strengths. He is a responsible and committed team player who makes a substantial contribution through effective relationship building and efficient control of resources working with a range of professionals to build rapport, trust, and confidence. He enjoys working with people and exercises loyalty, self-motivation, and a willingness to take responsibility for achieving results.

Don has qualifications in law, political science, and international relations and 25 years of business management and latterly legal practice as a partner with Keesing McLeod Lawyers in Lower Hutt.

His community activities include the work of Rotary, Victim Support, and the Wellington Free Ambulance.  He is Chair of the Wellington Region Victim Support Local Group Committee and was voted onto the National Board of Victim Support in 2012.  He is past President of the Eastern Hutt Rotary Club, past Assistant Governor for Rotary District 9940, and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Don’s eclectic interests include technology, most sport, cinema, concerts, dramatic arts, travel and generally enjoying life to the full.
